Rainbows (4-7)

What our youngest girls do, wear and the badges they earn

What do girls do in Rainbows?

Rainbows welcomes all girls from 4 to 7 years old coming together to play, learn and have tons of fun in a colourful, safe space.

She’ll laugh, sing and make a happy mess (and help clear it up!) as she chooses her way through our programme of activities. She’ll have plenty of magic moments: she might become a time traveller, an animal tracker, a pop singer, a stargazer. It’s a wonderful world of adventure, week after week, just for her.

You can find out more about our programme on the main Girlguiding website.

What do Rainbows wear?

We encourage members to wear a uniform to show they’re part of the Girlguiding family. All girls should have a uniform top and bottom. These can be worn for unit meetings, days out and events where a formal uniform is needed.

The uniform range includes: Polo shirt, Zip hoodie, Jog pants, Cycle shorts, Leggings, Badge sash.

The badges she earns can be attached to her uniform. The promise badge, which she’ll get after making her Rainbow promise, should be on the left-hand side and all other badges can be attached where she chooses or on the badge sash.

You can buy a uniform from the Girlguiding shop in Salisbury or from the main online shop. More information is here.

What's next?

After Rainbows, she can move onto Brownies, our section for girls aged 7-10, for nonstop fun, learning and adventure.
